Bricklayer

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking to take on Brickayers with new and/or historical building experience to work on a wide variety of projects from private houses to country halls and churches and even royal properties.

We are very much looking for someone who takes pride in their work and always produces the best results, although speed is important, the final product is what matters to us. We have a very good reputation and work for some prestigious clients and institutions, so this is very important to us.

Ideal Skills- Experience in any of these is a requirement- the more the better

General Brick laying – new work

Refurb work

Repointing

Heritage brick repairs

Flintwork

Stonework (fixing or masonry)

Experience working with lime mortars (Hydraulic, Putty, Hot Mix) and additives, pozzolans etc

Site Foreman experience

Ideal but not essential- CSCS card, any related qualification/ NVQ/ city & guilds, general H&S courses inc site safety plus, first aid etc

Location: We are based in central Norfolk, all of our building/ conservation work is within Norfolk, or very occasionally on the Suffolk/ Cambridge borders.

Employment: Full time employment or sub-contracting available

Salary: Very good hourly rates depending on level of experience- we are willing to pay for the right tradesman.

Conservation builder

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking to take on builders with historical building experience to work on a wide variety of projects from private houses to country halls and churches and even royal properties. Ideally this will be someone who is already experienced in conservation works, although a general builder/ bricklayer/ carpenter etc would also be suitable if willing to learn traditional construction techniques. The job will take you to some very interesting places and will especially suit someone with an interest in historic buildings although this is not a requirement.
We are very much looking for someone who takes pride in their work and always produces the best results, although speed is important, the final product is what matters to us. We have a very good reputation and work for some prestigious clients and institutions, so this is very important to us.

Ideal Skills- Experience in any of these is a requirement- the more the better

Carpentry- General

Carpentry- Historic oak

Bricklaying- Lime and cement

Flintwork – lime and cement

General Lime works

Plastering- Lime and Gypsum

General Builder

We undertake all types of general building (new build, extension, refurbishment) as well as conservation/ heritage building works.

Who we’re looking for:

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a time served multi skilled builder to join our team. We mostly work on middle-high to ultra-high end projects so we are looking for someone who wants to do things the right way, takes pride in their work and always works to the highest standards.

You will work with a very skilled team of guys with very good work ethics and be supported by the small office team day to day

Desired skills (some or all of the below)

· Bricklaying

· Plastering/ rendering

· Groundworks

· Carpentry

· Tiling, floor laying etc

· Refurbishment works

· Start to finish new build/ extensions

· Working accurately from plans

· Basic plumbing skills would be advantageous

· Experience with listed buildings also advantageous

· Experience as a site foreman or running (site managing) small projects would be good but not essential

· Any qualifications advantageous but not essential

· Plant experience advantageous

Requirements:

  • Must have a driving licence

Work location

Most of our work is in Norfolk with our yard based in central Norfolk- Location is important central Norfolk being the best as we work in the entire county to Suffolk and Cambridge borders

Schedule

Full time Mon- Fri 0700- 16:00 (Leave home at 7am, leave site at 4:pm paid 1 way) 30mins morning 45 mins afternoon breaks.

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience- we are happy to offer good pay for the right person! 28 days holiday a year (inc bank holidays), Company van provided (work use only)- Work clothes & PPE provided

Roof Tiler

Due to continuing success & expansion we are recruiting experienced pitched roofers with experience in tiling & slating. We are looking for multiple employed roofers and also good sub contractors/ small gangs. We are happy to employ apprentices/ labourers currently working with experienced roofers who are considering working with us.

At EFL we a family run roofing company who undertake all aspects of roofing. We have a reputation for very high quality work and pride ourselves in high levels of customer satisfaction. We are looking for a highly motivated tile/ slate roofers to join our team.

All employees are highly valued members of the team and all input is considered, creating a highly cooperative working environment. We offer a lot of day to day job support from the office as well as opportunities for further training and development if desired.

Types of Tiling slating work we do

The vast majority of our work is refurbishment and renewal, we will undertake the occasional one-off new build but as a policy do not undertake large site new build work. We do a lot of work on historic and listed buildings as a specialty but undertake all domestic and commercial pitched roofing works.

Requirements

– Must be very experienced in all aspects of tile and slating from start to finish. Qualifications very welcome but not essential.

– Must work to very high standards of workmanship and take pride in their work

– Must be able to work safely and under their own initiative without direct supervision and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

– Must be personable and interact with customers and colleagues well

– Must have good housekeeping and site cleanliness

– Not required but we would be very interested in talking to anyone with any experience with managing/ team leading other roofers, estimating, running jobs or office related pitched roofing experience

Location: We are based in central Norfolk and carry out work within the whole of Norfolk as well as the Suffolk and Cambridgeshire (inc Cambridge) borders. Most or our work is in Norfolk however and travel distances can be discussed.

Employment: Full time employment or sub-contracting available on day rate or price work.

Salary: Very good rates of pay for the right candidate. Employed price work with flexible job/start finish times will also be available if desired giving the successful candidate scope for earning well. A company van will be provided for employed staff.

Carpenter/ Joiner

  • Any other building experience on top of carpentry is advantageous
  • Any qualifications, CSCS and H&S accreditations is advantageous
